I’m a wee bit early on starting to reflect on the past year but I can’t help it, it really has been an amazing year. I’ve traveled to many places, met new and interesting people, and had many great experiences, and I’ve learned a lot about myself and about those around me.
I got to go on road trips through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California, and Nevada with some of my oldest and closest friends. I went on close to home road trips and stayed in cabins with people I met just this year. I ran in 2 more Warrior Dashes, and saw tons of live music. I reconnected with some people from my past, and welcomed previous strangers or aquaintances into my close knit circle of friends.
Most of all, I had a freakin blast! The 2 things that really have been a big part of my life this year is dance nights at Silverstone and the Gruv with Jenny and friends, and Geeks who Drink trivia nights with my fellow library cohorts and whomever else I could convince to come along. I really do hope those activities and all the people I’ve experienced them with are here to stay in my life for many years to come. Oh and by the way, i stopped doing this breakfast blog because i failed in that experiment, but it was fun while it lasted! I think reeses pieces pancakes are a mainstay in my life for all time now!

Greatest vacation ever
Seriously, i could get used to this not working thing. First there was Vegas road trip, then cabin at La Push on the beach, then cabin just south of Mt Rainier with a little hot tub time machine in the middle of the woods, today Zombcon. Oh and lots of delectable foods fit in there somewhere, reeses pieces pancakes with Natalie and Renee the other night, then last night fried chicken and bacon stuffed waffles last night with Tracie at Dirty Oscars...absolutely delicious waffles, this will be done again.

Sin City
I'll admit it, i have sinned. I didn't completely stick to my guns on the breakfast diet while in Vegas. My first night there.... i ate pizza. I also did a buffett. I'm ashamed... In my defense, we never got up out of the house till after at least 1 everyday, i did buy some fruit, cinnamon rolls, and blueberry muffins for the house and ate those at times, but well it was difficult to eat strictly breakfast when going out with Josh every day and night. That man eats like a bird, just little nibbles here and there. We did hit up a 50's style diner called the Omelette House, near his house one day for lunch and i enjoyed my avocado, tomato, and cheese omelette. I also got a breakfast burrito from a local fast food joint at about 4 in the morning after one late evening, so not all my discipline was completely thrown out the window.
Now that i am back home i will be better..Off to La Push today but i'm gonna stockup some granola, fruits, and the making for bagel, breakfast sandwiches for the weekend stay in a cabin, and for treks out on the hiking trails int he rainforest...game on!

Vegas Baby!! Road Trip
Hitchin a ride and going to Vegas with Josh this weekend just for the heck of it. I will request of him that we stop at many a diner along the way and hit up the most lavish breakfast buffets when we're in town. But before that, breakfast burritos at Frankys with all of the Bonzes. Get in my belly!
Everyday I'm shufflin
Trivia last night, my team returned to prominence and took home the coveted first prize. Janice was eating the Ram's Faberge burger and offered up half to yours truly, it had an egg, ham, and bacon on it, yet i still wondered if this should be considered my cheat of the week. After much internal debate, i bit in, and my oh my was it delicious! I may have to try this again, whether or not it can be considered breakfast food....ehhh, i don't know, but i do know it was scrumdidilyumptious. Previous meals in the day included 2 breakfast sandwiches, some oatmeal, and a fruit smoothie (thanks for the new blender mom).

Top O the Mornin
Last night at trivia i ended up passing on eating any Irish faire, and instead focused solely on the trivia itself...oh and an irish coffee, which i'd say had more than it's fair share of Whiskey in it. A good time was had by all as usual and although we did not claim the $250 dollar first place prize, i felt it was a good showing and the winning team truly deserved it. Although i'm not sure those doctors really need the extra cash, oh well. Came home foe some lat night hash browns and bacon, and a beer. Today, a quick trip to Panera with Jenny before work netted me the absolutely delicious french toast bagel sandwich and a spinach/bacon souffle for later...yum my!

Debateable
About to head off to trivia at Paddy Coynes tonight with a possibility of 250 bucks in our pub quizzin pockets...Trying to read up on what a traditional Irish breakfast is and if Shepherds Pie or Irish Coddle may qualify...Bangers (sausage), rashers( bacon), potatoes, in a casserole? It sounds pretty darn close to me...we'll see.

Cheat Day
Sunday, Jenny's house, Mac and Cheese, with a bunch of great folks, couldn't pass it up, had to join in on the delish grub. Added a little chicken strips and jojos, as well as an ice cream pie with mind boggling oreo crust. Hey, Saturday night we did capture the flag and danced for several hours, i deserved a day of indulgence...Side note, Scott, you're a freakin beast on the capture the flag field of play, Erika, hips don't lie, you can dance girl, you can dance.

Dinner update
Yes, the rumors are true, for the first time since i embarked on this journey i will have a meal made for me by Jenny. I originally requested 2 meals a day, which her own boyfriend Scott doesn't get, and i admit i was aiming too high. So i'll take what i can get, and i will ENJOY IT. Bacon, sweet potato (oh my god, yes), zuchinni, maybe some cheese, hell maybe we'll pour some Simple Times beer in the skillet...
On the Run
Been a busy weekend already with some late nights, so i've gotten by with a few bagel sandwiches here and there to get me through. Fueled myself up with some bacon, sausage, and a waffle slathered in peanut butter last night to make it through a long night of rockin at Hells Kitchen with Skierski and Natalie. I will equally have to do so tonight for some capture the flag at Wright Park and party rockin at Club Silverstone with some of the usual dancing suspects, it's been sooooo long, tonight will be about recapturing youth.

Oversharer
I'm a sharer...well an oversharer in a lot of ways, i'll gladly tell people things they never wanted to know, butttt i also like to include lots of people in whatever i'm experiencing as well. I'm eating breakfast food all the time? Well so are you! Brought in my electric skillet to work today and the whole crew went to town on hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, sausage, bagel and english muffin sandwiches...You think it's over? It's not over...i'm having more at lunch in about an hour and i encourage others to do so as well.

Every claim you Steak
Cooked up the rest of the steak i had last night and ate that with hashbrowns, then used some of the leftovers this morning to put in an omelette with mushrooms and mozzarella. The remainder of the steak will be in a tortilla wrap for lunch with tomato, avocado, and spinach. This may be a good time to mention i will be working out and putting all this protein to good use. I've taken the last 2 weeks off after my last Warrior Dash and have done basically nothing aside from scramble rock climbing with Yancey in Utah and walking basically everywhere like i do, but i am feeling very lazy. Running and weightlifting will commence soon.

Let's get it started in here...
Started this whole breakfast thing off right by going to Marcia's Silver Spoon for some delicious chocolate chip pancakes and a side of bacon. Feeling very full and a little sugar buzzed, i feel sorry for all who will have to deal with me in the short term. Lunch or 2nd breakfast will consist of an apple, banana, and some yogurt, and tonight i'll probably have some steak and hash browns.

Trial Run
Last nights breakfast for dinner went well as Jenny and Renee joined me for waffles and sausage. Renee especially was overwhelmed with the toppings offered which included bananas, strawberries, assorted homemade jams, peanut butter, chocolate nutter butter rip off, and the oft neglected and unused marshmallow fluff. I think maybe now she can see how Avery's B&B service has won over so many previous hearts. For Jenny this was all old news, been there, done that. To Miss Franky Bonz : It would have been lovely to have you over as always and if you don't come over soon, i will gladly send you waffles in the mail...i swear i'll do it, don't make me.

Food Revolution
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day...So why not eat it every meal??? Ok, ok i get it, it's so important because it gets your metabolism rolling early and fuels your body for whatever activity you'll have in the near future but seriously, i think it can work, and i intend to prove it. I have always been a huge fan of breakfast, a personal fave of mine is having friends stay over after a long night out and sitting around eating a huge breakfast, recuperating and recapping the previous nights debauchery over coffee. I love the feeling a big, warm meal first thing gives me and how energized i feel to face the day, and so with that i have devised the idea of eating breakfast for every meal. Innovative isn't it?
I've decided to start on my birthday September 27th and just run with it, a diet consisting strictly of breakfast foods, eggs, pancakes, waffles, every possible part of a pig, steak, breakfast burritos, scones, muffins, etc. Get the picture? Not to mention, lots of fruits, some veggies and nuts along the way, yeah some sweets here and there in the way of pop tarts and donuts, but pretty well balanced and diverse. I think this could actually be a somewhat healthy way to go and quite fun in the process, as i will document and share with you.
My goals for this project? Mostly just have fun with it, i'm fairly healthy and in pretty good shape and i certainly hope that continues and could possibly be improved upon.
My rules for this project? Eat breakfast for every meal for the duration of the year to start with, i will allow myself one cheat meal a week, if i go out to eat with friends or go to someone's house i'm not gonna be a dick about it and tell them i strictly only eat breakfast when they're serving up burgers.
Why am i sharing this with you? Well, hopefully it's somewhat interesting, i couldn't find information on anyone else doing this type of diet so maybe i can be a trendsetter, or you can just laugh at my silly ass, hell maybe i can swing this into a book deal, who cares, i'm starving, let's eat!
